Trail #1 Lovelady -

Trail #2 Sullivan -

Trail #3 -  Trough Cutoff

This trail is EPIC. If you like single track through the trees in excess of 30 mph this is your trail! This trail has many twist and turns and ups and downs all through the trees. The trail connects you all the way to trail 4.

Trail #4 Fence Line

Trail 4 is a long trail that traverses from one side of Stonyford to the other on what can be considered the back side of Stonyford. Some parts of Trail 4 are really rocky. Trail 4 crosses 16N18 two times however the second time it crosses you will actually see a road marker. This point forward trail 4 will continue you across the road directly in front of you and will lead up hill to the right (assuming you are coming from trail three). This portion of the trail is really rocky so make sure you have adequate air pressure). Trail 4 is a fun way to transfer from the Trail 15 system to the Trail 36 area (Steam Donkey possibly the SICKEST trail at Stonyford. If you look closely nestled on an uphill you can find an old steam donkey used to pull logs up hillsides during Stony's logging days)

 Trail #5 Trough

 Trail #7 Oak
 Trail #8 South Fork
 Trail #9 Green Flat
 Trail #10 Horse Hollow
 Trail #11 Harlen
 Trail #12 Big Rock
 Trail #13 Letts Parallel
 Trail #14 Miner Gulch

 Trail #15 Miner Ridge

Trail 15 is an awesome trail to ride. It meanders all over a ridge and intersects a main road (which leads to Cedar Camp or towards Letts Lake/Mill Valley) several times making it safe incase you get hurt or break something and you need to holler at someone or simply walk back to your camp. Trail 15 is a blue trail about 2-3 feet wide and is a high speed trail if you want my 2 cents.

 Trail #16 Miner 1
 Trail #17 Miner 2

 Trail #31 Wolf Glade

 Trail #32 Letts Ridge

Letts Ridge is a great trail that takes you up or down to the Fouts Springs/Davis Flatt area. Letts is mostly up or down hill depending on where you are going. There are TONS of water bars to launch off of so make sure you stiffen your suspension a little bit if you made it soft for the trails. If you are going up Letts you'll notice a green fence that as of 9/29/14 has been left open and leads back into private property. You'll see the trail veer right a little and there should still be a very large 32 on one of the oaks on either side of the trail. At the top of this trail (once you pass the green gate) you'll come to a plateau and a road that leads to the right. Go down the road about 200 feet and turn left for an AWESOME scenic view of Stony Ford yee!

 Trail #33 Letts "Y" Trail

Just...just don't go on this trail. lol it just goes in a loop i had an annoying experience on this trail.

 Trail #34 Potato Hill

Potato Hill is very similar to Lett's Ridge. Its a hill climb or decent mostly leading up from Fout Springs/Davis Flatt area. This is a very easy hill climb i think its a green. Fun for most definitely something you could grab 4th and 5th gear on (eh towards the top).

 Trail #35 Pine Flat

 Trail #36 Steam Donkey

THIS IS THE SICKEST TRAIL HERE!!!! You can access this trail from Mill Valley or by going up Potato Hill. This is a black diamond just because its twisty and some parts have awkward turns that take skill to negotiate. Failing to do so would cause a roll down a steep hill side. This is as cool of single track as you can get. The trail is only wide enough for your bike and not that its so challenging but parts of the trail of cliff going up one side and down the other leaving you very little room for error. I remember my handle bars caught a tree stopping me instantly introducing my balls to the gas tank at a high rate of speed. ALSO!!! This trail has an awesome piece of history located on its hill side. If you look closely you can find an old Steam Donkey engine in a seasonal flood creek on the up hill side of the trail.

Stonyford Campgrounds

click the links below to find out more information!
Located in a timber area of mature pine and fir Cedar Creek is usually a pretty full campground with paved access located close to trails..

Davis flat is the main campground area located below most of the desirable trails. Davis Flat is usually heavily populated with large RV pushers. Davis Flat is a great spot if you are looking to party, be around other people and experience an off road commune similar to what one might find out in the desert or at Ocotillo Wells. If solitude is what you are looking for Davis Flat is not your top pick.

Virtually located adjacent to the Davis Flat area and can be considered "camping in the same area." Fout Springs Campground can be found right next to the creek that runs through the campsite areas. Davis Flat and Fout Springs are the old locations of what used to be luxurious resorts where guest could relax, stay the night and bath in the close by mineral springs.

Little Stony Campgrounds is a very popular campground especially during the winter due to its epic location next to Little Stony Creek. Little Stony is located off Goat Mountain road which you can follow all the way up to campgrounds like Cedar Camp, Green Flat, Lett's Lake And Mill Valley.

Located in the adjacent Davis Flat and Fout Springs camping grounds (camping valley really)

Old Mill is probably one of my favorite places to camp. Located up above Davis Flat in the pines you'll  find Old Mill Campground just off of M-5 road. Most of the campsite can be seen from the road however seclusion is felt and the campground is usually deserted. During the winter snow usually accumulates as the campgrounds are just about 4,000 feet (give or take 700 feet).

Mill Valley is located high above Davis Flat and is well above the "Stonyford Snow Line" (which is something i made up indicating that "snowing" occurs here). This campsite is pretty cool and similar to Old Mill. There are trails that lead in and out of the campsite making it a supreme location for the Dirtbiking crowd.

There are a few more campsites however i do not feel they are worth mentioning however CLICK HERE for links leading to the remaining, unlisted campsites.

Stonyford Points of Interest

Letts Lake -

Letts Lake is a beautiful 35 acre lake located above Davis Flat up Mountain Road 5 and 10 (M-5 and M-10). Letts Lake is spring fed and offers opportunities to camp, picnic, canoe/kayak, and of course fish for trout! This area was first settled by two brothers Jack and Dave Lett. Both brothers died "defending" their land from other squatters. The brothers were both shot when a standoff occurred at what is now the main campground at Letts Lake. You can't ride up here but you can ride pretty damn close making Letts Lake a great destination to cool off after a gnarly ride during warm weather months.

Stonyford Swimming Hole - Stony Creek -
Stony swimming hole can be found below davis flat approx 200-300 feet from the campgrounds itself. When the winter has been fierce the creek level will be high offering many swimming spots along this creek within Davis Flat. There is also a swimming hole located by the bridge, by the boys camp road (now closed) by the nail track. This swimming holes are only swimmable after or during a good season. Please use caution and DO NOT DIVE IN! It may look like it at points but this creek is generally very shallow!

Potato Hill Paragliding Launch Site -
I actually never knew this was here until i started looking at google earth one day bored at work! How cool is this!? At the top of potato hill you will find a gate/trail on the right hand side, at the top, assuming you are going up trail #34 (and if you arent then it will be on your left going down). I don't know much about the restrictions of going up there but the next time I'm at Stonyford I'm for sure gonna check it out!

Trail #40 - Mill Creek Parallel Pond
Trail 40, also known by Stonians as simply "Mill Creek", is a gentle slightly challenging "blue" rated access trail. The hole accent itself is quite enjoyable. Once you get towards the top it begins to get pretty steep with a good portion of the last climb being rutted out with an off camber, right dipping, up hill right hand turn. After that right hand turn (old school knows whats up) the climb goes back to relaxing and you're almost at the top!
However, right before the steep portion off to the right of the trail you will find a pond! I have never been to this pond so I do not know if its something you would want to swim in or what. However the next time I go up I will check it out and report back in!

Natural Spring at the top of Mill Creek Trail 40!
After assending the relativly easy Trail 40-Mill Creek climb you will notice once you get to the top that you have been brought to the top of M-5 and that across the road you can see another trail that goes up and left into the trees. This trail is not that long id say maybe 75 yards AT THE VERY MOST! Inside you will find a pipe that leads into the mountain side with fresh clean drinkable water constantly pouring out!
